Huron High School Achievement Partnership
Purpose: To foster achievement and vocational interests in Huron High School students by connecting them with RCAAN club members. Students in the Peer Connection program are targeted for participation, and ongoing RCAAN support of the Peer Connection program is included.
Components

Job Shadowing
Job shadowing will involve both Peer Connectors and Connectees. Interested students will be matched with Rotarians and spend time at the Rotarians; workplaces, in amounts to be determined between the student and Rotarian, but expected to fall between several hous and one day. Rotarians will be expected to expose the students to various aspects of their jobs and discuss the educational and experiential requirements of success in their vocations. Students will complete an evaluation of the experience immediately following.
Luncheon Sponshorship
Students will be sponsored by the club to attend the club's weekly meetings. Goals of their attendance including exposing the students to adult service activities, engaging them in social situations with the diverse club membership, and informing them of topics presented by club spakers. Students will attend two consecutive meetings, and make a short oral presentation at the second meeting.

School Presentations
Rotarians will present on their vocations to classes to Huron. Goals would be to raise awareness of the vocations, including the educational and experimental requirements for success.

Classroom Enrichment
The club will provide a cash stipend for classroom enrichment of the teachers involved in the Peer Connection program. Goals would include encourging and recognizing the involvement of teachers in the Peer Connection program and the betterment of classroom opportunities. Student involvment in how the funds are used would be an expectation of the award.
