COURSE # 07163 Ceramics
and Sculpture II
This course is a continuation of the beginning ceramics and sculpture
class with emphasis on advanced techniques. In addition to clay formation
processes, advanced study encompasses glaze mixing and personal experimentation
is encouraged. Through these experiences the students will study the history
of three-dimensional forms and develop an understanding of how clay forms
have recorded the phases of human culture. This course may be repeated
for additional credit.
Grade:10, 11, 12
Prerequisite: 07163 Ceramics and Sculpture
Credits: .50 unit per semester
