Learn About Ms. Benton

Ms. Benton has been teaching for over a decade. She attended college at Michigan State University and graduated in 1987 with a degree in chemical engineering.  She decided not to become and engineer.  Instead, Ms. Benton did graduate work in physical organic chemistry and also taught at Michigan State.

Afterwards, she decided that she wanted to become a teacher.  She received her Master's Degree in Education and looked for a job.  She served as a student teacher at Dewitt High School and taught chemistry and math.  After working in many different schools, she now works at Huron High School and teaches chemistry and chemistry support.  Her great enthusiasm for chemistry allows her students to learn one of the hardest subjects taught at school without too much difficulty.
