CONCESSION LOTTERY
The assignment of teams to all home concessions is determined by a lottery drawing at the monthly Booster Club meeting prior to the start of each sport’s season (Fall, Winter, and Spring).   A concession schedule is prepared showing available events, dates, times, and the approximate number of people needed to operate each event. 

Teams are assigned to Tiers based on their attendance at the monthly Booster Club general meetings, for the prior 12 months (on a rolling basis).   As the teams are randomly drawn (starting with Tier 1 teams), each team chooses a remaining open concession date.   The process continues, by tiers, until all events are assigned.   Teams that do not have any representation at the Lottery meeting are not assigned any concessions.  

After each sport season, the profits from concessions are distributed as follows:
Team volunteers working the concession...... 70%
  Host teams playing the events..........................15%
  Booster Club General Fund...............................15%

At the end of each season, the host teams’ profits (15% of total profits) are divided equally among all the host teams for that season, in proportion to each team’s percentage of the total sales. 

All hours worked by team volunteers are paid at an hourly rate determined by the following formula: 70% of the season profits divided by the total hours worked by all teams during the season.  Note that supervisors get a 25% bonus over the regular volunteers’ hourly rate.

100% of the profits go back to Huron Athletic teams and selected Clubs.   All monies are deposited into the respective team's encumbered accounts and the General Fund during the next sports season.
