Phone-a-thon - 2009
November 9th to 12th, 2009

   AAPS Board of Education Bldg.
   2555 S. State St.

DIRECTIONS:   The AAPS Board of Education Bldg. is located off S. State Street about ½ mile north of Briarwood.  It is the driveway just past Howard Cooper Automotive on the east side of State St.   You drive down the hill to the Balas I Bldg., turn left and enter in the far north doorway.  Look for the signs posted at the Balas I door entry.

The Main Conference Room has been reserved on the evenings of November 9, 10, 11 and 12, 2009  from 5:00pm - 9:00pm.   We will work in 2 shifts:  5:00pm -7:00pm and 7:00pm - 9:00pm. 

Our Endowment Fund is an investment in the future and will provide the opportunity for all River Rats of tomorrow to have a high school athletic experience.    This is truly a gift that keeps on giving!

The Huron High School Booster Club Phone-a-thon is an athlete-driven telephone campaign that solicits donations from Huron families and alumni to the Huron Athletic Endowment Fund.  All donations are tax-deductible.

Ann Arbor Huron High School was the first high school in the State of Michigan to establish an endowment fund that supports interscholastic athletics on an annual basis.   Donations made to the Athletic Endowment Fund are put into an interest-bearing account and the interest on the principal will provide future supplementary support for Huron High School’s athletic programs starting in the year 2020.

2008 Huron Booster Club Phone-a-thon

Our annual Phone-a-thon Campaign was held November 10th thru 13th, 2008 at the AAPS Balas 1 Building.   Announcements were emailed to Huron families prior to the telethon announcing the annual event.   Huron athletes made telephone calls on 10 dedicated phone lines at the Ann Arbor Public School District Balas Building site.  

Phone calls are scripted and phone calls are made only to families of Huron athletes and alumni in the Huron High community.   We were assisted by many Huron Athletes who provided their time to make this year's campaign a huge success.   This has always an excellent public service program for students and a great way to raise funds for the future of Huron Athletics!

Huron student-athletes received pledges for over $8,000 during the 2008 Huron Athletic Endowment Fund campaign.
