Ann Arbor Huron High School Business of Professional of America Chapter has returned from the 2010 National Leadership Conference in Aneheim, California with 11 national BPA winners.  Three of those wins were 1st place wins in Banking & Finance, C++ Programming, and Financial Math & Analysis.

 

According to the Maurice Henderson, Michigan’s BPA State Director, Huron High School earned the most assessment event awards than any other school in Michigan’s Secondary Division.

 

The 2010 BPA National Leadership Conference was held in Anaheim, California from May 4 – 10, 2010.  There were more than 5,600 participants from 27 different states!  Michigan had 551 participants in attendance.  While at the conference, students were able to compete in their events, participate in lectures and workshops, and enjoyed all of the fun of Southern California had to offer!

 

Three staff members –Diane Stocker-Bendersky, Christy Garrett, and Mary Winkler—took 19 Huron students to the BPA National Conference and 11 students came back with National awards!  A total of 17 Awards were given to Huron students at the highest level of BPA competition – With three 1st place awards given to Huron students.
