ANN ARBOR HURON BUSINESS PROFESSIONALS OF AMERICA   The Huron Business Professionals of America (BPA) with advisors, Diane Stocker-Bendersky, Christy Garrett, Karen Eisley and Dorothea Bryant received an astounding number of placements at the Region 6 Leadership 2009 Conference held at Henry Ford Community College in Dearborn. Their total number of 1st place wins increased over last year’s.  Over 20 schools participated in the day long event. Eighty six (86) Huron students, 5 advisors and 4 chaperones traveled to Dearborn to participate in the Business Professionals of America 2009 Regional Leadership Conference on Friday, January 9th, 2009. Huron had 56 students qualify for the State Leadership Conference to be held March 19th-23rd, 2009 in Grand Rapids, MI.  {Group Photo 1-9-2009} A Total of 106 Awards were given to 56 Huron students: 25 First Place Wins, 29 Second Place Wins, 11 Third Place Wins, 14 Fourth Place Wins 13 Fifth Place Wins 12 Sixth Place Wins 1 Seventh Place Win 1 Diploma Award - Torch Award Winner = 56 Winners! A detailed list of winners and the competitive events they placed in are listed below.  One BPA member also received the Diploma Torch Award. This award is related to community service projects.
