Work experience is a structured work experience that takes place at the workplace and is not linked to any program of study, a particular class or career choice.

A written training agreement is drawn up between the school and the worksite. Student progress in these programs is supervised and evaluated collaboratively by school and workplace personnel.

These structured work experiences may be paid or unpaid and may take place in public, private or non-profit organizations.

Students are required to work an average of 10 hours per week and are not required to take a related course. Jobs vary and many students enter the program with their own job.

Students receive 0.5 credit per semester for Work Experience.
