Impact of Career Pathways Return to:
Guidance & Counseling
Career Resource Center
How does the Career Pathways program impact the current curriculum?
At this time, Career Pathways does not change the graduation requirements, rather it clearly defines our current requirements. They key to this program is that it provides students with direction beyond the basics. Career Pathway equips the students with additional information about course offereings that will better prepare them for their post-secondary career. With Career Pathways students will become aware of what is required in each pathway for a career that necessitates a high school diploma, certificate or associate degree, a bachelor's detree or above.
How does the Career Pathways program benefit the students?
Career Pathways recognizes the needs, beyond the academic needs, of high school students and embraces a youth development approach to create engaging learning opportunities. Career Pathways prepares students for lifelong learning, civic involvement, leadership and careers, and engages you people in learning, work, and service throughout their community. In addition, this program maintains an environment of caring and competent adults to help guide students through the challenges of high school and preparation for college and the work world.
