Portrait of a Successful Student
 
Successful student are active rather than passive:
A successful student:
     Asks questions of teachers
     Joins class discussions
     Is involved in extracurricular activities
     Studies for knowledge sake and not just for the grade

A successful student:
     Has a support system of friends and family
     Is connected with members of the school staff (coaches,
     teachers, guidance counselors, etc)

A successful student:
     Goes to class on time
     Does not procrastinate
     Makes studying a regular part of his/her daily routine

A successful student:
     Keeps his/her notebook organized
     Takes good notes and reviews them!

A successful student:
     Sets short and long-term goals
     Builds upon strengths
     Minimizes weaknesses

A successful student:
     Has active and involved parents
