Physical Education Graduation Requirements
During grades 9-12, each student must earn at lest one credits in physical education; one-half of that credit must be in the required Personal Fitness course offered in grades 9-12.

*Course not currently offered under this title. † A dance course which is used to meet the physical education elective requirement may not also be used to meet the arts requirements.
NOTES: Students may waive the physical education elective requirement of one-half unit of credit with one of the following options: a. successful participation in one interscholastic sport; b. participation in a cheerleading squad for one inter-scholastic season; Symphony Band marching program, or successful participation in one season of the Symphony Band marching program and two seasons of the Concert Band marching or *Wind Ensemble program.
A waiver of one semester of required physical education shall not be construed as reducing the total number of credits needed for graduation as specified in this policy.

† NOTE: A Theatre Course may be used to meet either the arts or the speech requirement, but not both.
