COURSE # 01325 American Literature 1
Students become acquainted with some major American novels, shorts stories, drama and poetry. Emphasis is placed on both critical reading and the study of characteristics of various literary types. The course requires outside readings based on themes selected by the teacher and continual writing of formal essays.
