COURSE # 01313 Language & Literature 1
Students work individually at a pace established by teacher and student to improve basic language and literature skills. Students develop skills in reading, writing, and listening. They read short works by American authors as well as excerpts and condensed versions of literary classics; they focus on writing coherent compositions. The two courses (01315 and 01316) are not sequential and use different materials, but they are similar in objectives and methods.
Grade: 11, 12
Prerequisite: Junior or Senior
Credits: .50 unit per semester
