Language Courses

COURSE # 01311  Short Readings
Students focus on the regular careful reading of various types of relatively short modern works. The readings include short stories, plays, fiction, and non-fiction. There is more emphasis on aesthetic aspects of the readings than on critical analysis. There is concentrated focus on written communication. Students will write short papers in response to the reading, as well as answer prepared study questions in writing.

Grade: 11, 12

Prerequisite: None

Credits: .50 unit per semester
