The Huron Music Association Needs You!

Your Huron Music Association plays a HUGE role in your child's music education. Parent volunteers who contribute their time and expertise are necessary to perform the numerous tasks which enrich the great music program at Huron. In addition to the hard work of the directors and students, the dedication of parents has also helped Huron become an Award Winning School Please take a moment to review the description of volunteer opportunities.

Volunteer Opportunities

* Uniforms - work with other volunteers to disperse and collect uniforms. This job involves helping the students find the best fitting uniform as well as keeping excellent records. Time commitments are in Sept and May.

* Fundraising Help - The Starving Student card is the major fundraiser for all music groups and the Huron Music Association.

* Concert Receptions - after each concert, we like to reward our talented musicians with an "afterglow." This is a great time to mingle with other music families and the wonderful teaching staff. Volunteers are needed to help set up, serve and clean up after each reception (usually twice a year).

* Music Awards Banquet - near the end of the year, the Huron Music Association hosts the Music Awards Banquet. This event is open to everyone. After a buffet dinner that is free for seniors and entertainment from students, each music group meets for the distribution of awards. This is a catered event but help is needed with planning, ticket sales, set up, serving and clean up.

* Picnic Pops - this community event is the premier family event hosted at Pioneer High in the spring. There are musical performances throughout the day from our area middle and high schools. Games and food are a huge part of this enjoyable day.

Fill out the online family registration form for your group to register and volunteer. Our volunteer coordinators will be in touch.
