What is the purpose of this site?
The purpose of the web site it to provide parents, guardians, students, teachers, and the general public with current information about Huron High School that they need to know. In addition, the site provides information that users might like to know to help them understand better the depth and breadth of academic, athletic, and arts-related endeavors that Huron students and faculty engage in, and that defines Huron High.

Why is the Huron High School providing this resource?
A goal of Huron High school administration is to provide effective means of communicating with parents/guardians and students of the school, using a variety of methods. The Huron web site is one form of media that achieves this goal.

Who manages this site?
This site is managed locally by Diane Stocker-Bendersky, a teacher at Huron High School, Chair of the Business and Technology Department, and Webmaster. Ali Vandoren, Technical Specialist for the Ann Arbor Public Schools (AAPS), manages the site at the district level as AAPS webmaster, and is the liason to GVC SiteMaker administration for the resolution of technical problems and enhancements.

Who is this site designed for?
This site is designed for students, parents/guardians, and teachers who are part of the Huron community as well as the general public. It could be especially helpful, for example, to new families who are relocating to the Huron attendance area who want to find out more about the school. Foreign exchange students and extended families may find it useful for obtaining a long-distance look at the school. It can be helpful to college recruiters who want more information about our academic and athletic programs; for visitors to athletic, fine arts, or other school events; for directions to away sporting matches; and finally for the community at large who want to find out what’s happening at Huron and what makes it a special place.
