Help Using the Site

Navigation

The home page contains links to all of the pages in the site. The seven primary sections of the site — General Information, Academics, The Arts, General Office, Administration, Guidance & Counseling, and College & Career - are typically accessible from the left navigation bar. A “Quick Links” drop-down list is also provided in the left navigation bar that contains popular links. The banner at the top of every page provides a direct link back to the home page and to the following eight content areas: Calendar, News, Directory, Athletics, Students, Parents, Teachers, and Web Index. The left top margin of the banner contains the school address, phone, and FAX number that is accessible from every page on the site. The bottom of each page has a link to the AAPS home page and links for accessing GVC.SiteMaker. Contact information is provided at the bottom left corner of every page that contains the web address and/or phone number of who to contact with regard to site content. Lastly, there is a link to the GVC.SiteMaker web site to find out more about the tool that is used to host the Huron web site.

Web Index

A web index link is provided in the banner at the top of every page that contains a Table of Contents that can be used to help navigate through the Huron High School web site. Topics are listed in alphabetical order. Contact information is provided to request an addition or change to the site.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

A set of Frequently Asked Questions or FAQs has been developed to help users with common questions. This link is found under the “Quick Links” drop-down list at the top of the left navigation bar. Users are provided a contact email address where they can submit questions to be added to the list.

Text size

Users can enlarge or reduce the text size on a page by changing the default text size (in browser preferences). Alternatively the browser's text zoom feature can be used. This is typically found under the View menu.

Searching

The web site offers the free Google Site Search as the search tool for the site.

Questions about the site that are not answered by the FAQs or information that can’t be found using the web index or search tool can be directed to the Webmaster at stockerb@aaps.k12.mi.us.
