Eric Stanczyk is a graduate of Downers Grove South High School and Eastern Michigan University. While in high school, Eric swam for B.R. Ryall YMCA. He was a YMCA Nationals finalist and team record holder. At Eastern Michigan University Eric swam for four years and was the team captain his senior season. He competed in primarily the 200 and 500 yard freestyles. He was a Mid American Conference Championship finalist and helped the Eagles win 3 Conference Championships. Eric has coached at Ann Arbor Huron High School with the boy’s team for 5 years as an Assistant Coach. While there the team has won a State Championship and been a State Meet Runner-up. He also coaches at Dexter Community Aquatic Club. He has coached there for 4 years. Eric also coached at Ypsilanti High School for the women’s team for 3 seasons. Eric lives with his wife and cats and enjoys watching bad movies.
