Huron Men's Tennis Tryout Information Fall 2010 

1. Tryouts begin Wednesday August 11th.  To be eligible, you must have you physical on file in the athletic office, have your "pay to play fee" paid, and your insurance fee paid.  No exception will be made.
2. Varsity roster players and alternate will tryout from 12pm-3pm every weekday. All incoming freshman and any others not on varsity last season will tryout from 9-12pm every week day (unless otherwise specified).
3. The format for the first cut will likely be a double elimination singles tournament.
4. To try out for varsity, you must be available during the first weeks of season.  This means clear your schedule, all other commitments are secondary during this period.  If there is a conflict, you must tell the coaches in advance.

6. Following the first cut, the remaining players will continue to try out with the remaining varsity players from last season.
7. There are 12 roster spots and generally 4-8 alternates. 
8. Huron tennis has a strong tradition, having finished in the top 5 in each of the last 5 state tournaments.  If you're not sure whether you should try out, talk to coach Welch.
