Key Dates

September 15 The 40th Annual Michigan Math Prize Competition Registration Deadline(MMPC) The Michigan Math Prize Competition will be administered on Wednesday, October 13, 1999. The test will be 100 minutes long and will consist of 40 questions. Register with your math teacher. The registration fee is $2.
October 13 Part 1 MMPC This 100 minute test will begin at 7:40 am. Report to your assigned room.
December 8 Part 2 MMPC Those who qualified for part 2 will meet in room 6153 at 7:40 to take this 2 hour portion. For a list of qualifying students contact your teacher or review the list in the display case outside the math office.
December 15 Registration deadline for the AMC. The American Mathematice Competition(AMC) will be administered on Tuesday February 15, 2000. The test, formerly the American High School Mathematics Exam (AHSME), has been redesigned into two separate tests. The AMC->10 is for students in grade 10 or below. The AMC->12 is for students in grade 12 or below. 9th and 10th grade students may sign up for the AMC->12. To qualify for the AIME a student must score at least 100 points on the AMC ->12 or be in the top 1% of the AMC ->10 participants. Register with your math teacher. The registration fee is $2.
February 15 The AMC->10 and the AMC ->12 will be given today. Report to your assigned room at 7:40 am.
March 8 AP Test sign up deadline. Be sure to sign up for the AP Calculus (AB or BC), AP Statistics and/or the AP Computer Scienc (A or AB) Tests before this deadline.
March 28 The AIME (The American Invitational Mathematics Exam) will be given today. Report to your assigned room at 7:40 am. To qualify for the AIME a student must score at least 100 points on the AMC ->12 or be in the top 1% of the AMC ->10 participants.
May 2 The USAMO (The U.S.A. Mathematical Olympiad) will be given today. Report to your assigned room at 7:40 am. The top scoring U.S.A. AMC ->10 & AMC ->12 /AIME students ( according to a weighted average) will be invited to take this prestigious test.
May 7 Calculus AB and Calculus BC Test Day.
May 8 AP Statistics Test Day.
May 9 AP Computer Science Test Day.
