HURON HAD SEVEN OF THE TOP 106 STUDENTS IN MICHIGAN PRIZE COMPETITION -2008 |

Over break, I attended the banquet at Oakland University where the top 106 participants in the the state on the Michigan Mathematics Prize Competition (MMPC) were honored. At the banquet it was revealed where in the top 106 the invitees placed.
The MMPC is a very old competition (51st annual) , and it draws the best math students in the state, both because of the prestige and the fact that scholarship money is awarded to high scorers. Huron had seven students in the top 106 .

Also, 14 Rats did well enough on the American Mathematics Competition (AMC) that they qualified to take the American Invitational Mathematics Examination (AIME) on March 18. They are:
