Solo and Ensemble

Band Festival
This statewide competition includes the Concert and Symphony bands. Usually hosted at Pioneer, the bands will perform in front of judges and receive rating on a scale of I - V ( with I being the best), according to quality of performance. The prepared pieces consist of a march, one from a list and one of the group's choice. There is also a sight reading segment. The scored come from 3 judges for the prepared pieces and one for sight reading.

Bands In Review
This annual event is the concert of concerts. The middle schools and the high schools perform at this single concert.

Trips
Every other year, the Symphony Band takes a trip to somewhere on our globe to compete, perform and to have a little fun!

Picnic Pops
On the lawn of Pioneer High, the bands from Huron, Pioneer and Skyline (and the middle schools) perform in this  relaxed, carnival atmosphere. There are games, guest performances, food and the ultimate cake contest!
