About the Choirs

Cantare /Huron Singers
A choir of tenor and bass voices which sings a variety of choral music of all periods and styles ranging from classical to pop. Emphasis is placed on the enjoyment of singing, basic music skills and fundamentals of vocal technique. The Huron Singers appear in several concerts throughout the year. Rehearsals and performances outside of the regular school day are required.

Cantando Choir
A choir of soprano and alto or treble voices interested in singing. Emphasis is on the enjoyment of singing, basic music skills and fundamental vocal technique. This choir performs choral music of all periods and styles from classical to pop. The Cantando Choir appears in several concerts throughout the year. Rehearsals and performances outside of the regular school day are required.

Bel Canto Choir *
A select ensemble of soprano and alto or treble voices who perform a variety of choral music of all periods and styles. This choir performs at concerts and festivals throughout the school year. Rehearsals and performances outside of the regular school day are required.

A Cappella Choir *
A select choir of mixed voices comprised of students who have demonstrated superior musical ability and have met the performance requirements set by the conductor. This ensemble performs outstanding choral music of all periods and styles in numerous concerts throughout the school year. Rehearsals and performances outside of the school day are required.

Chamber Choir *
Our finest group of vocalists, the Chamber Choir rehearses during seventh hour and after school, and performs a varied repertoire of choral music at events throughout the school year.
