Parking at Huron (updated 8/18/07)

Parking on school property is by PERMIT ONLY during school hours. 9th and 10th graders are NOT permitted to park at school. Only Seniors are guaranteed a parking permit.
A of permits may be available to juniors on a lottery basis.
ANY VIOLATION OF THE HURON PARKING POLICY MAY RESULT IN LOSS OF
PARKING PRIVILEGES FOR THE YEAR

PARKING POLICY
• Parking permits may not be transferred, sold, or copied.
• Parking permits must be permanently affixed inside the lower corner of the windshield on the driver’s side
• Park only in designated student lots, including
• West (dirt) lot (South of the tennis courts and North of the rock).
• Baseball lot (North of the baseball stadium).
• PARK ONLY IN LEGAL SPACES FOR STUDENT PARKING
• Parking in staff or reserved spaces, fire or driving lanes, or on the grass will result in ticketing/towing.
SENIOR (RESERVED LOT) Cost is $60.00 This money goes directly to the senior class for senior year expenses like prom and graduation.
•The 82 reserved parking places designated "Senior Lot" area will be sold to Seniors who wish to purchase them.
• Newly constructed adult visitor parking has been added to the Senior Lot, but is not available for senior use.
• Do not park in visitor spots! Tickets
will be issued for this violation.
• Students must have enough credits to have Senior standing.
• Seniors must fill out and turn in a GREEN vehicle registration card at registration in August, or by the end of the first day of school, to be eligible for the Senior Lot lottery (Sept. 5)
• 82 vehicle registration cards will be drawn at random at the end of the first day of school; only those Seniors may purchase Senior Lot parking permits.
• Seniors must purchase their Senior Lot pass by Sept 8.
• Any Senior passes unsold by Sept 8 will be forfeited and placed in a second Senior lottery.
• Any Senior who did not receive a Senior parking lot sticker may purchase a general student parking lot sticker for $30.00.
• Check the times and dates posted by your class office for placement of your pass on your car windshield by your class administrator.
• Replacement stickers will be issued for $5.00.

SENIOR GENERAL STUDENT PARKING Cost is $30.00.
• 440 permits/403 spots available.
• Must have enough credits to have Senior standing.
• Fill out and turn in a GREEN vehicle registration card at registration in August, or by the end of the first week of school, Friday, September 8.
•Check your class office for the times and places your class administrator has designated to affix your pass onto your car windshield.
•Replacement stickers will be issued for $5.00.
JUNIORS: Due to limited parking on our property, a limited number of permits will be issued, on a lottery basis, after the Senior deadline. If there are not enough parking
spaces left after seniors purchase their permits, a lottery will be used to dispense permits.
JUNIOR GENERAL STUDENT LOTS:
• Have enough credits to have Junior standing.
•Fill out a GOLD parking registration card.
• Drop the vehicle registration card in the box at registration or your class office by the end of the first week of school, Friday September 8.
• Listen for announcements as to the status of junior parking permits and dates to purchase permits.
• Check your class office for lottery winners and times and places your class administrator has designated to affix your pass onto your car windshield.
Stickers are tamper evident foil, and will self-destruct when removed. Each sticker has a unique registration number and must be validated by an administrator’s signature.
THE REGISTRATION DEADLINE FOR ALL GENERAL STUDENT PARKING PERMIT IS FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 8, AT THE END OF THE DAY.
ALL STICKERS WILL BE AFFIXED TO CAR WINDSHIELDS BY A CLASS ADMINISTRATOR. TIMES AND PLACES WILL BE POSTED BY THE CLASS OFFICE.
