HURON HIGH SCHOOL

RULES AND REGULATIONS

REGARDING FUND RAISING ACTIVITIES

 

Huron High School offers a variety of clubs and organizations for students to join.  Each club or organization has a school sponsor, who is a member of the faculty or staff.  We ask students when they become a member of an organization, that they follow a few simple rules that are necessary to comply with policies established by the Board of Education.

 

  1. The club or organization must be registered at Huron High School.  This can be done through the Student Activities Office at Huron High School – MS. BELL / MS. SZALAY.

 

  1. All fund raising activities must be approved by the sponsor and the Administrator for Student Activities.

 

  1. All meetings must be approved by the sponsor.  Each organization develops its own calendar of meeting times and locations.

 

  1. All purchases must be approved by the sponsor or grade level Principal.  If the purchase is for $25.00 or less, a sponsor may approve the purchase and the purchases can be reimbursed through petty cash at the Huron High School finance office.

 

  1. If the purchase is over $25.00, a purchase order request must be filled out, signed by the sponsor and given to the finance office to process.  A copy of the deadlines for purchase orders to be processed may be picked up in the Huron finance office.

 

  1. The finance office at Huron High has a financial accounting of each organization and a report may be requested by contacting the Finance Officer.

 

  1. + Any money raised from fund raising activities must be deposited in the approved school account for the club or organization.  There will be no exceptions.

 

  1. ++ All groups depositing their profits from fund raising activities into an outside account will be treated as a fee generating and private activity as outlined in Priority #6 and #7 of the Use of School Facilities Board Policy and will be subjected to all stipulations regarding insurance policies and fees.
