The MME is a state-mandated test for all juniors to take. Participation in the test is also an Ann Arbor Public Schools requirement for graduation.
The MME is made up of the ACT + Writing, WorkKeys, and Michigan Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. The Scores from the ACT + Writing are accepted by colleges and the NCAA for determining eligibility for Division I and II sports.
An extremely important part of the Michigan testing process is that all students who take these tests may qualify for up to $4,000 in scholarship money if they attend college in the state of Michigan.
