Health Sciences Technology Course Expectations

Classroom Behavior:

Common courtesy toward the teacher and your fellow classmates is expected. Your classroom actions and attitude should prove that you are a candidate for clinical.

Attendance:

New material and skills are presented in this class daily. They are difficult to make up, therefore, regular attendance is expected. If a pattern of irregular attendance or chronic tardiness occurs the instructor may recommend that the student not remain in the program for clinical second semester regardless of academic grade. Huron attendance and discipline policies will be strictly adhered to. Students who receive an E for first semester may not take second semester. Students who receive a D for first semester will not be recommended for second semester.

Make up work policy:

It is your responsibility to turn assignments in on time. If you turn in an assignment after the due date your grade will be lowered. After two weeks late work will not be accepted.

Grading system:

9 week grade: Homework assignments and notebook checks - 25%

Attendance, punctuality, professionalism                             -  25%

Quizzes and tests                                                                - 25%

Skills                                                                                 - 25%

 

Semester Grade

1st 9 week grade=   40%

2nd 9 week grade=  40%

Final exam           = 20%
