Rankings

Now that 2008 soccer season is officially complete, the final rankings have come out for various polls. Here is where the 2008 MHSAA Division 1 State Champions finished:

AA Huron finished Ranked #1 in the State-Div 1

http://www.mihisoccer.org/

AA Huron finished Ranked #8 in the Midwest

http://studentsportssoccer.rivals.com/

AA Huron finished Ranked #40 in the Country

http://studentsportssoccer.rivals.com/

To be ranked in the Top 50 in the whole country is an amazing accomplishment. Only nine Midwest schools made the Top 50 and ONLY four schools in Michigan made the Top 50.

What a season for the Huron River Rats!!!

As we continue to celebrate the Division 1 Soccer State Championship, we can now also celebrate the All-State Division 1 Recognition of the following 5 players:

Helen Steinhauser: All-State 2nd Team

Nneka Odum: All-State Honorable Mention
Becca Pidgeon: All-State Honorable Mention

Additionally, Beth Archer was selected as a member of the 2008 Dream Team, which is comprised of the best eleven players from all four divisions (i.e., the top eleven players in the state)
